Getting Married in Cornwall in 2026? A Local Photographer’s Guide to Windswept Clifftops & Rustic Barns

If you’re dreaming of a Cornwall wedding in 2026, there’s a good chance you’re picturing wild sea air in your hair, soft golden light spilling across the cliffs and the feeling that your day isn’t being staged, it’s simply unfolding. That’s exactly how I photograph weddings.

I’m Sarah, the photographer behind Checkered Photography, and I capture relaxed, nature-led weddings across Cornwall. From intimate elopements on windswept clifftops to laughter-filled barn celebrations tucked away in the countryside, my work is all about connection, not perfection. Cornwall has a way of softening everything. It invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and be fully present, and those are the moments I look for through my lens.

There’s something very special about getting married here. One moment you’re standing with the Atlantic stretching endlessly behind you, the next you’re wandering into a candle-lit barn with muddy boots and flushed cheeks. My style is grounded and natural, gently whimsical in the way Cornwall itself is. I won’t ask you to pose awkwardly or perform for the camera. I’ll simply be there, documenting the real story of your day as it happens.

For couples planning elopements or small weddings in Cornwall, I offer simple hourly coverage starting at £200 for one hour, with additional hours at the same rate. These shorter packages are perfect for intimate ceremonies and include your ceremony highlights, relaxed couple portraits, group photos with your closest people, full editing and a password-protected online gallery with unlimited downloads.

For bigger Cornwall weddings, I offer six-hour and ten-hour collections priced at £1000 and £1600. Both include a free engagement shoot, full editing and your own online gallery where you can download and share your images as much as you like. If your plans don’t quite fit into a box, I’m always happy to create something bespoke for you.

Alongside traditional wedding photography, I also offer wedding content creation for couples who want their memories straight away. Using my phone, I capture unlimited behind-the-scenes photos and video clips of your day, delivering everything within 24 hours. With options from one to six hours, this is ideal if you love the idea of waking up the morning after your wedding and instantly reliving it all while your professional gallery is being carefully edited.

I’m now taking bookings for 2026 Cornwall weddings and dates are already starting to fill up. If your heart is set on natural photography, sea-soaked landscapes and images that feel like home rather than a photoshoot, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s wander the cliffs, chase the light and tell your story exactly as it is.
